1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using TabsOnJobs (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

TabsOnJobs is a personal job-search assistant that connects to your Gmail to surface job-related email, and uses AI to help you summarize mail, score job fit, tailor resumes, draft recruiter replies, prepare for interviews, schedule interviews, and track applications. Features may change over time.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) and able to form a binding contract to use the Service.

4. Your account and Google connection

You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your password and account secure. You authorize the Service to access your Google data through the permissions you grant on Google's consent screen, solely to provide the features you use. You can revoke this access at any time by disconnecting Gmail in the app or via your Google Account settings.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the Service unlawfully; access accounts or data that are not yours; attempt to breach or probe security; interfere with or overload the Service; scrape or abuse the AI features; or use the Service to send spam, harassment, or deceptive communications. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

6. AI-generated content — review before you rely on it

The Service uses third-party AI models to generate summaries, fit scores, resume edits, drafts, and interview material. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading. You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and editing any AI-generated content before you send it, submit it, or otherwise rely on it. Fit scores and summaries are estimates, not guarantees, and do not constitute career, legal, or financial advice.

7. Sending email and calendar actions

When you explicitly choose to send a recruiter reply or create a calendar event, the Service performs that action on your behalf through your connected Google account. You are responsible for the content you send and for confirming recipients before sending. The Service does not send email or create events without your explicit action.

8. Application assistance; no automated submission

The Service helps you prepare and organize applications. Any browser-based apply assistance, where available, only pre-fills forms for your review — you always review and submit applications yourself. We do not guarantee interviews, offers, or employment. Automating activity on third-party sites (e.g. job boards) may violate those sites' own terms; you are responsible for complying with the terms of any third-party service you use.

9. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties including Google (Gmail/OAuth/Calendar) and AI providers (e.g. Google Gemini, OpenAI, Anthropic), and links to third-party job sites. We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, or their terms. Your use of them is governed by their agreements.

10. Intellectual property

We retain all rights in the Service's software and design. You retain ownership of your own content (resumes, notes, and the data you provide). You grant us a limited license to process your content only to operate the features you use.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that AI output will be accurate.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost opportunities, missed jobs, lost data, or lost profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months or USD 100.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service, your content, or your violation of these terms or of any third-party rights.

14. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms or to comply with law. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (e.g. sections 10–13) will survive.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post the new effective date and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you. Continued use after changes means you accept them.

16. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by applicable law, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Venue and any arbitration terms will be specified as applicable.
